Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day at These Local Irish Pubs

14Mar

Saint Patrick’s Day is right around the corner on March 17 and whether you’re a full-blooded Irishman (or woman) or you simply enjoy a good beer and a shepherd’s pie, there’s no excuse not to celebrate this upbeat and exuberant holiday here in Jersey City.

Near our Beacon apartments are tons of Irish pubs that will be featuring special offerings, live music and authentic fare for the day. If you’re ready to get in the Irish spirit this Saint Patrick’s Day, then read on below.

Dorrian’s Red Hand, located at 555 Washington Blvd, Jersey City which is a 10-minute drive from your Beacon apartment, is the New Jersey outpost of the famous NYC bar offering comfort Irish eats, draft beers and TVs in a classic pub setting.

First opening in 1960, Dorrian’s has been a staple for decades, dutifully serving delicious American fare and popular beers and cocktails to generations of neighbors, locals and their families. In the 50+ years since it opened, Dorrian’s has expanded from a humble little corner bar serving loyal regulars to a fully-realized restaurant space with a closed in outdoor cafe and a smaller, intimate back room with its own bar.

PJ Ryan’s, located at 292 Barrow St, Jersey City which is a five-minute drive from your Beacon apartment, is an intimate, traditionally decorated pub serving drinks and modern American and Irish tavern fare.

A corner tavern in the heart of downtown Jersey City offering a cozy and inviting space, PJ Ryan’s offers great craft beer, wine and liquor and a menu that puts a modern twist on traditional Irish pub fare. Come by for nightly drink specials, weekend brunch and year-round sports action on eight big TVs.
