Playing Golden Saxophone Instrument during Outdoor Concert

Jazz Festival in Jersey City

04Jun

If you live in Jersey City and have a passion for jazz, chances are you’ve heard of the Riverview Jazz Fest.  The festival began as a small concert in Jersey City in 2012 and now produces over 100 shows a year for the community.  This year, the festival runs until June 9th and you don’t want to miss out on these events happening right outside The Beacon.

June 5

West Side Arts & Music – Bring some chairs and blankets and enjoy the music of Larry Banks & his Molten Lava Ensemble from 7 pm – 8 pm in Lincoln Park.

June 6th

Madame Claude Bis – one of our favorite French restaurants in Jersey City will be hosting an evening of live jazz with resident band Manouche Bag from 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm.

June 7th

White Eagle Hall – This beautiful venue is home to some of the best concerts in the tri-state area.  Purchase tickets here to see Red Baraat, a pioneering band from Brooklyn, NY.  Their June 2018 album release “Sound The People”, hit the top 10 on the World Music Charts in Europe.

Head to the Grove Street PATH Station on Sunday, June 9th from 12 pm – 6 pm for the closing day where you can enjoy the music of Winard Harper (1:30 pm), Murch Church Brass Band (3:30 pm) and Chino Pons (5:00 pm).
